New Center for Barth Studies Book Review

Chad Marshall reviews Mark S. Gignilliat, "Karl Barth and the Fifth Gospel: Barth’s Theological Exegesis of Isaiah" (Ashgate, 2009). This book is an interesting case study in Barth's theological exegesis, and Marshall's review is very illuminating. Be sure to check it out!

It's a good book -- very helpful when I was doing work on Barth's "theological exegesis," though now I'm reminded I need it for more than that! I had been going after hermeneutics then, but his dogmatic manner of handling the OT is very much at stake in CD III.
