What is eternal life? Karl Barth's Answer

"Life as a witness to the overflowing glory of God is eternal life."
- CD 2.2, 169.

Is this perhaps the shortest sentence in the Church Dogmatics? ;)
I need to look up the German. It is always possible that it is merely a clause in a much more complicated construction.
John Chan said…
"Denn das ist das ewige Leben des Menschen: sein Leben als Zeuge der überströmenden Herrlichkeit Gottes." (KD II/2, 185)
Wow, that's changed considerably. I'd have preferred the translation to be more grammatically literal, but it still reads nicely in the English, nonetheless.
